**Vintage Summer Monday's #2**

Happy Early Monday and welcome to Vintage Summer Monday's hosted by me.
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend and are having a wonderful Memorial day.
Did you attend any flea markets or any yard or estate sales over the weekend? If so, show me your treasures!
I love seeing every ones vintage goodies!

Here's my treasures for the day...

I had to show something red white and blue for Memorial day. This is my wonderful doll that was made using vintage fabrics and buttons. I worked for a antique/gift store years ago and we had a lady that would make us these dolls, bunnies and bears out of vintage pieces of fabric and trim. They were the hottest items in the store. This is probably the only red white and blue thing I own and I adore it.

Pretty vintage floral plate I picked up at a flea market a couple of years ago for $5.00. I love the colors!

Vintage Chandelier a friend actually gave me.

Vintage suitcases in my boy's room. The top one is leather with the initials "J.R.M".

Vintage books I just got from my favorite store last week.

Vintage green trunk.

Vintage ironstone.

I know a lot of you probably already saw the last three photos, so please forgive for posting them again.
I hope you all have a great time visiting everyone's Vintage Summer Monday post, and I hope you have a great Memorial Day and a wonderful week!
Thank you so much to those of you who participated today and to those of you who visited!!

**100 Fabulous Follower Giveaway Coming Soon!!**

I took a look at my blog yesterday and couldn't believe that I was almost at the 100 follower mark!! Just 2 more followers to go! I am astonished and overwhelmed!!
I started blogging in October and never believed I could ever reach this point, that anyone would like my little blog enough to come back for more. I am so thankful to all of you for you kind words and support. I look at other blogs that I follow and wonder if I will ever reach their popularity or greatness. Maybe, maybe not, but I am just so happy with the wonderful people that visit me everyday. It truly feels like Christmas every time I log on to my blog and see a new follower or read a new comment.
So to say thank you, I will be hosting a giveaway in a few days time. I'm still trying to figure out what I want to give the winner, so I will take the weekend and decide. Check back with me next week to find out and to enter to win.

**Show And Tell Friday**

Hey everyone, I hope you are all having a wonderful week! I'm a bit under the weather and my computer is still acting up, so I'm hoping I can get this post done without a glitch. I wanted so much to participate in Show And Tell Friday hosted by Cindy at My Romantic Home. Also, my husband was home for a couple of days, and since he can't be with me next week on my birthday, he took me shopping!! Yea, my favorite thing to do! Here are some of my treasures that I picked up...

If you follow my blog you know I am obsessed with vintage white ironstone, so I got this lovely ironstone pitcher to add to my growing collection. I don't think it is super old, but I love it anyway!

I got these pretty vintage books. I love the cover on the top book, it is just fabulous!

This is on the inside of the bottom book above, The Mother Mary.
Just beautiful!

My new books went perfectly with my other 2 vintage books I already owned. I guess there is a color theme going on here, sage green and cream.

And my favorite gift of all, this great old green chippy trunk. It's actually on casters and has tons of storage space on the inside. It is perfect for my coffee table or maybe at the end of my bed for blankets. We'll see.

Finally, I just finished a new design. It is made with turquoise nuggets and vintage gold pearls.
For some reason, I just have not been motivated to make any new designs lately. This is the first new design in a month that I have finished! I hope I can find some more inspiration soon!

Thank you so much for visiting me today, it really means so much for me to read your lovely comments!!
Please make sure and visit the other participants at My Romantic Home for Show And Tell Friday!
Have a great weekend!

**I Feel Stupid!!** {Not The First Time!}

So, I went to my son's open house at his school tonight and his kindergarten class put on a little program for the parents. They sang a few songs and danced for us, it was so sweet! Every time I go to these things, I tear up and feel like bawling. I can't believe I have a son, two sons, and every once in a while I have to pinch myself to know it's true. And when he draws me pictures or sings at school, or I attend field trips with him, it makes me so happy and proud to have my boys in my life. It's one of those things you think of when you first find out your pregnant and you and your husband say to one another; I can't wait until he makes me a macaroni necklace{yes, I'm looking forward for this}, or when he's in his first school play, or...

Anyway it was bittersweet, but by the end of the night I felt stupid.

As I was standing there, waiting for my son to start singing, I looked over and saw this guy I had gone to high school with forever ago. He was standing with his wife and children, and I kept debating whether or not to run over and say hi. He was a really nice guy in high school, so my mom who was with me told me to go on over and say hi, so I did. So this is how it went...
Tap, tap, tap on his shoulder, "Hi, are you------?" "Yes." {with a strange look on his face}
"I'm Melinda, we went to high school together and had a class together. Do you remember me?"  {Another strange look mixed this time with confusion and annoyance} "Ahh, kind of, ahh..." In the mean time his wife is looking at me and I didn't want her to think I was trying to pick up on her husband at a kindergarten program, so I tell her my name and that I went to high school with her husband and we exchange a few words about our children and what teachers they have and that was it! The guy never said to me, Oh, nice to see you or have a good night, not even a smile! Now, whether he remembered me or not, let's have a little more manners and say something polite. I felt so dumb to have put myself out there like that. I am a shy person by nature anyway, so that was a lot for me!
You know how you remember someone from your past, and you kind of have a certain image of them in your mind planted there until one day you come face to face with that person again and it's either right on the money or completely so not right? Well my memory of this guy was completely distorted!! Did I also mention that I had a huge crush on this guy in high school? Ahh-Haa, now it comes out. Maybe my pride was a bit hurt that he didn't remember me, but it did feel good to see that I have aged a bit better then him! And besides, I have a fabulous, gorgeous husband and two great kids with loads of good manners!!!
And by the way he never smiled or clapped for the kids the whole way through the program! How can you not smile when your child is singing?
That's all I have to say.

I know these photos have nothing to do with my post, but I had to throw something pretty in!
Have a great night.

**Show And Tell Friday**

Happy early Friday everyone. I hope you enjoy Show and Tell Friday hosted by Cindy from My Romantic Home.

The coat rack above is made from a vintage crib/bed.

My bedroom.
The sconces are vintage. And the headboard is from an old twin bed.

My husband got this for me last Christmas. It's vintage and it still works. I love it because it's so small compared to my other chandeliers and looks great over my computer area.

This vanity was my very first antique my husband and I purchased when we were first married. I love it because it has fleur de lis on all of the drawers.

A pretty vignette next to my bed.

I hope you all enjoyed my photos. Please head to My Romantic Home and check out all of the other participants for Show and Tell Friday.
Thank you for stopping by and have a great weekend.

**On The Farm**

Hey all, I hope your week is going fabulous! The weather around my part of the country is wonderful. Sunny and warm! Yea!! Sorry I was M.I.A. for yesterday's White Wednesday, but I was out on the farm with my son and his class for their field trip. It was such a great day, everyone had a blast, I even think the parents had a better time then the kids, at least I did.
We went to an organic dairy farm which is only about 15 minutes from my house and it was just beautiful. Running streams ran through the property along with waterfalls and huge trees to shade all of the animals. The owner had tons of different kinds of animals including 2 camels, peacocks and a zebra-donkey, which is called a Zonkey. The owner took everyone on a hay ride around the entire property and let us pet the camels and other animals. It was a lot of fun, but not for my allergies! It was so lovely and I took tons of photos. When I got home and transferred them to my computer I couldn't believe I had taken 156 pictures. I took photos of everything, the barn, the old peely white fence, the old blue wheelbarrow, you see where I'm going.
The other parents probably thought I was nuts, I noticed they weren't clicking away like I was. Oh well, I got some great shots and made them all pretty for you.
I'll show you just a few today, wouldn't want to overwhelm anyone with all my farm pics.

Old Tractor. They had tons of old tractors. I had to wait for the group to pass me so I could sneek a few dozen pictures of all of the tractors.

I loved the color of this old wheelbarrow.

The peely white fence.

The sweet little calves.

The Barn.

The beautiful farm land.

I hope you enjoyed all the pics.

And don't forget about "I'm So Blue Monday's" hosted by me every Monday. Please join me, everyone is welcome! It starts this Monday May 17th.
Make sure and grab my button if you want to participate and spread the word.

Have a great day!

**I'm So Blue Monday's**

Hi everyone, I hope your week is going smoothly. At least we're past Monday.
Since Monday's  are so difficult, at least for me, I thought I would host my first blog party called "I'm So Blue Monday's". It will start next Monday May 17th. All you have to do is show anything vintage or new in blue! Any shade of blue will do. Aqua, turquoise, baby blue, blue-gray, you get the picture.  I will attempt to set up a Mclinky link for participants, so we'll see if I can figure it out. If you'd like to participate let me know and grab the "I'm So Blue Monday's" button and let all of your friends and visitor's know they are all invited to join. I hope to see you all there next Monday, it should be fun!

**Happy Monday**

Good Morning everyone, I hope you all had a lovely Mother's Day! Mine was fantastic. My lovey came home for a visit and took me shopping for Mother's Day. We had a really great time, not because we went shopping, although you know how much I love to shop, but because we were all together again as a family. He' s leaving this afternoon and our hearts will break a little as we say goodbye. I hate to say goodbye!!!
Along the highway by my home sits this incredible old barn. I have seen it a million times before, many times as a child on my way to visit my grandparents, and I have always loved it. I have always told myself that someday I would take a photo of that wonderful barn, but never had the chance, until yesterday. We drove by it on the way home and pulled off the road to take some shots.

The thing I love about this old barn is the faded letters of the sign that once set on top of the metal roof ~ Mail Pouch Tobacco.

We have a lot of old barns around here, unfortunately, most are destroyed by graffiti.  But I would really love to take a few shots of them and hang them up around the house. Hopefully I'll have time before we move next month.

Mother's Day bouquet from my boys.

I hope everyone has a great week, talk to you later.
