Christmas Touches & Happy Thanksgiving~

Good morning all. I know everyone is probably prepping for Thanksgiving tomorrow and I just wanted to wish you all a wonderful and joyous day with your loved ones!!
I'm cooking as usual, but this year's menu will definitely be different from the past. Because of my illness and issues with my stomach I have had to dramatically change the way I eat, which means lots of healthy foods and cutting out all of the fat including no more red meat! It's been a month and half without all pf the fat and red meat and it hasn't been that difficult. So tomorrow I will be cooking a light yet delicious meal, cutting out all of the high in fat foods. It will still be good but much better for us all.

What's on your menu?

I also wanted to show you a few more touches of Christmas that I've added around the house.
So please enjoy and again, have a great Thanksgiving!!!

  2. As always, I absolutely LOVE your photos! Good for you in getting rid of the red meat! I haven't eaten meat in almost 20 years and I don't miss it. I do eat fish though.I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving! We are going to El Torito and then down to the Seal Beach pier where they have a playground in the sand. Should be fun for my little ones!

    Take care, Sue

  10. Hi Melinda! With the Thanksgiving menu in mind... 1/2 of us are vegetarian, and 1/2 not so that can be a bit tricky sometimes. Now throw into the mix that I am TRYING to be vegan and well, that changes everything! I am enjoying a healthier way of living, and actually feel empowered by the whole thing, it makes cooking an adventure once again. I hope your diet continues to make a marked improvement on your heath! Your home looks just lovely and makes me want to dig out my old metal toolbox/ tray and put a pitcher or two in it! Happy Thanksgiving! t.xooxoxo
