My Paperwhites & Some New Vintage Plates~

Hi all, how's everyone's last minute preparations for Christmas going? I'm finally done! Woo~Hoo. I got the stocking stuffers last night and that's a wrap!

I thought I would show you some photos of my paper whites, they are finally getting ready to bloom and I'm so happy because they actually survived and I didn't kill them!

Here's one of the stocking's that I won from the lovely Maria. I hate to wrap them up when Christmas is over. Maybe I'll just fold them and put them with my other grain sacks.

I got these pretty little vintage desert plates a few weeks ago from "SadieOlive". The pattern is called "Forget Me Not". I would love to find dinner plates to match.

I have to admit, even though it is so pretty, that I'm a bit ready to get rid of all of the cedar clippings I have scattered around the house. It's making everyone's allergies act up and my poor husband has been sneezing like a mad man!

Well, hope you enjoyed and have a wonderful day all.

Sincerely,
~Melinda

  1. Hi Melinda!
Love those forget me knot plates...I had the same little ones. Not sure if I still have them or passed them along at the shop..but they are sure sweet! I am getting ready to share my paper whites too...just love the way they look at Christmas!

  3. Those plates are adorable. So sorry to hear about the sneezing. My son told me when we were in a shop that had live evergreens, "Mom, these trees are making my nose hurt." I don't think my children have been around a live tree that I would know they are allergic. Good luck and scary as it sounds Christmas will be upon us and over soon. Merry Christmas.

  7. Happy Holidays Melinda!

I have tried to buy paperwhites here, but they aren't readily available. On the other hand, our homegrown tomatoes are growing nicely at this time of year in Fl.

I know those plates...have had in my shop in the past. I think that you can find all over Ebay.

  11. Hey Melinda.

I don't blame you for folding your stocking in with your other grain sacks. It's way too gorgeous to put away for a year.

I hope you and your family have a wonderfully blessed Christmas.

    God bless you.

  12. Melinda, everything is so pretty as always! I love paperwhites! I force them every year, but I usually don't start them until later. With our long, cold winters here in northern Michigan I need a little something to brighten my days after the holidays!
I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas!!

  13. I have some"Forget Me Knot" plates, bowls and a few others. I just recently sold some but if you contact me I know a shop where they have an entire set and I could get them for you and send. In fact, I was just looking at them yesterday while I was out thrifting.
