Change... Let it Begin~

Hello all~
I hope you all had a wonderful week.
Its been quiet around here, just staying cool and readying ourselves for change.
We {my family & I} are getting ready to start a new chapter in our lives, for one, I'm beginning my new job on Sunday, which will take some adjustments for us all, daddy will be in charge now on the days I work. :)
Secondly,
I'm also starting another new job, as teacher, for my oldest son, who begins home school on September 5th. I have so many things to do to get us all prepared for homeschooling, and I am praying we can all transition well, especially my son.

I'm nervous about all of these new changes, but if these changes make life better for my family, than I am all for it!

There are things that have had to take a backseat lately, unfortunately, this happens sometimes and first and foremost, I have to remember that my family must come first.

Sorry for all of this personal stuff, I think that's why I like to throw in a pretty picture or two, so you don't get bored. :)

***Thank you to all of my blog friends for always being so supportive and lifting me up with your kind words, it means more to me than you can ever know.
Please forgive me if I am sometimes unable to get back to you with my gratitude, but just know that I do sincerely appreciate all of you!

I'll be back next week to let you know how my first day goes. It shouldn't be too difficult because I'll be working with someone I have known for the past 14 years. She will help this transition go smoothly.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.
Blessings,
Melinda

  5. Good luck sweet friend! Your son will reap many blessings having you for a teacher. A lot on your plate this year Melinda, but you will do great. My daughter has always home schooled her four children, but this year they are all going to public school. I'm nervous, but they will do great. I love home schooling moms. I have nothing against school of course, but sometimes children do better in a one on one situation. All of them tested great on going into public and my 12 yr old granddaughter is being put a grade up because she was so far ahead, so she will be in 8th. I told her I would have given anything to have skipped middle school altogether : )

  18. Hi Melinda! Your blog is lovely, so I'm going to post it on my blogroll. Ree Drummond, who is the "Pioneer Woman", on the Food Network (watch her show, it's fantastic), has a great website that has a section about home-schooling. She's been doing it successfully for years. It might give you some insight and take away some anxiety. Good luck, and keep blogging so we can enjoy looking at all of your beautiful photos!

  21. Wishing you the very best in both your new job and homeschooling your son Melinda! My life has taken some twists and turns and I am now gone from home more than my hubby, but anything we can do to make our family life more of the focus is a good thing. I miss being here all of the time, but I can honestly say that it has done all of us good to change roles and take on more responsibility that maybe the other would have done. You will be a wonderful teacher, the love you have for your family always shines through in your posts and that is the best lesson they can learn. Take Care and have a wonderful transition. t.xoxoxoox

  27. Melinda, I hope that all the cahnge is going well, but more importantly, I hope that your heart is wide open to receive the good that will come. As you know from reading my blog, change could be my middle name right about now! God has been faithful. It's always reassuring to me to know that HE doesn't change. :)
