Snowflakes & Trees

Hello all, I hope your having a lovely week.
The Christmas decor has begun around here. I had hubby get all of the Christmas boxes out of the garage this morning so I could go through them and pick out the decor for this year.
I'm still not feeling 100%, and my energy level isn't what I wished it would be, so I spent the morning crafting Christmas decoration's with my boy's.

The boys and I made sparkly snowflakes out of vintage music sheets. After we finished cutting out the different shapes, I sprayed them with adhesive and sprinkled them with vintage mica snow.

I picked up this vintage box of ornaments a few years ago. It still has the pretty pale pink and silvery green ornaments in it.

I have a collection of vintage and new bottle brush trees. This one is one of the newer ones that I got a few years ago.

This is a vintage bottle brush tree. I love the colors on it, red, silver and cream.

I had wanted to do turquoise, white and silver on the tree, but after unpacking all of these goodies, I am now leaning towards red, white, and silver.
Also, don't think I'm crazy, but the tree farm opens on Saturday and I just might go and buy our tree! Early, I know, and it will probably be dry and crispy before Christmas, but that's okay, I'm in the holiday spirit now!!~

Have a great night all, and I'll be back next week with some Christmas decor.
Sincerely,
Melinda

  3. Thanks for your sweet comment on my bedroom redo, Melinda. So glad this one is done...it took FOREVER!! I'm happy with the end results though, so I guess itwas worth it:-)

I remember one year making hundreds of snowflakes with my daughter's class for the Christmas Pagaent at school. There was glitter everywhere!

I'm liking little pops of red here and there in the Christmas photos I'm seeing on Pinterest. Can't wait to see what you come up with:-)

  4. I love the colors of your trees. I've never seen a red or white one. The ornament box reminds me of my childhood. Have you ever seen bubble lights? They were my favorite! Gell well soon.

  14. I think a red Christmas tree would actually look really good. I think I'll get one like that next year. Green is just too generic. Everyone has a green Christmas tree. I love how you took old music sheets cut them up slightly and made beautiful hanging art.
