Portrait of a Tulip & Wishes for 2014

Happy New Year all...

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday.

We're starting our New Year with beautiful sunshine and temperatures in the upper 80's this week. Having the sunshine grace us these past few days has been incredible. Especially since sometimes January can feel a little blue for me with it's short-gray days.
Yes it's true, I am ready for the spring and ready to lighten things up in the home as well.

I was fortunate to find these gorgeous lavender tulips at Trader Joe's the other day. These were the perfect pick me up for me and my home.

Are you one to make New Year's resolution's?

I usually don't because if they don't pan out, I'm usually left feeling disappointed.
This year though, being that there are so many new things that I want to accomplish, my goal is to really focus on breaking out of my shell and to start experiencing life without fear and uncertainty.

Focus on the good in my life and not to get caught up in the things that bring me down.

How about you...

What do you want to accomplish this year? Even if it's just one thing, make it amazing!!

  2. Keep yours eyes on the beauty you create and what's all around you for the taking. Your grace and beauty will dampen any thing that may drag your heart down.

The flowers are pure and good, adding such bright joy to your home. Yes I too am looking forward to spring and its freshness.

Take care, your beauty shines over here.

  4. Your flowers are GORGEOUS! and I love the way you've styled them:) Sounds very warm in your neck of the woods. Spring is a long ways off here in Seattle. It's so dark at this time of year and flowers inside are routine to lift my spirits.

As far as resolutions go .. I think you're right. Keep it real and attainable and strive to be your best on any given day:) xxleslie

  5. I love the Parrot Tulips and your resolutions!! I will be popping down to Trader Joes and see if ours has some. I've just gotten around to thinking about resolutions myself. I want to focus on the beautiful things in my life and let go of the things I cannot control. I also want to clean out my closet:-)
